Villa Vedas won the best villa in the Yak Awards Winner 2014, is set on 3,500 m2 of freehold land located at Pangkung Tibah village, which is 1 kilometre north of the world famous Tanah Lot temple, and features 45 metres of absolute beach frontage and private beach access. The villa itself represents approximately 1,800 m2 of construction, and is a modern architecturally designed home that is unique and unequalled, with many interesting design features, most of which have been meticulously fabricated on site. The villa is designed and engineered to feature a breathtaking 22 metre span without any supporting columns in order to provide an unobstructed view right through the property and out to sea. The property features a large living area, dining areas, a bar, a media or snooker room, and two bedrooms downstairs, and three bedrooms upstairs. The living area can be opened to benefit from the regular breeze off the ocean, or alternatively enclosed and air conditioned by deploying the Häfele glass sliding wall system, and turning on the Daikin VRV central air-conditioning system.
Developments are currently being done at the villa that will create 3 additional double bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, which are expected to be finished by mid-June 2019. These replace the staff quarters that used to feature 4 bedrooms. The project also includes a second living room, a large balcony at the second level, and a bespoke taste testing room.
The villa is located approximately 1 kilometre to the north of Tanah Lot, and offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean to the west, ancient rice paddies to the south and grazing pasture to the north, and Gunung Batukaru (Batukaru Volcano) in the east.
The villa is laid out to make best use of the available land, which boasts 45 metres of beachfront, and which tapers backwards from the beach. Two bedrooms, two pools, the bar, the art gallery, the media room, the kitchens and the staff quarters are on the ground floor, and three bedrooms and the sky pool are on the first floor.
The Philips Dynalite lighting system allows any light or group of lights to be controlled by any of the lighting controller units throughout the house. The Control4 Home Automation system allows connection via WiFi from android, iOS, PC or Mac to control any of the lighting and air-conditioning units, and also to stream music from the user’s device or from a central server to any combination of the four zones of the sound system specified below
The Master Suite is simply awe inspiring. It faces the ocean, and features panoramic 270 degree views. The built in king bed is an engineering marvel that is cantilevered out from the wall, and appears to float in air. A breeze coming off the sea means that you will rarely want to use the central air conditioning. There is truly no room like this in Bali, or indeed anywhere else in the world.
Guest Suite 2 is likewise on the top storey, and faces the ocean. It features a king bed and a flock of birds cast in brass (designed and fabricated exclusively for Villa Vedas) as its primary source of lighting. Guest Suite 2 shares use of the sky pool with Guest Suite 3.
Guest Suite 3 faces south, and looks out on ancient rice paddies. Once again it has a king bed and a flock of brass birds is the primary source of lighting.
Guest Suite 4 is on the ground floor, and faces the bale and the Indian Ocean. It features a king bed. It is perfectly located for that early morning swim in the 40 meter pool, or for those long walks on the beach.
Guest Suite 5 is on the ground floor, which features a king bed and faces the driveway.
Guest Suites 6, 7, and 8 will soon be ready for occupancy, with each one featuring a double bed and its own ensuite bathroom.
EXPLORE THE VILLA
Every element of the villa, from the floating staircases to the artworks, has been meticulously designed. Featuring 5 double bedrooms, all with solid stone baths carved from a solid piece of marble and enormous rain showers, a private bar, media room, and 3 swimming pools, the villa comfortably accommodates 10 guests, with an additional 4 bedrooms in the staff quarters. For guests with a taste for the latest technology, lighting, music and air-conditioning can all be controlled through your smartphone.
The bar includes a large custom brass top bar, stainless steel benches, fridges, sink, ice makers, glass washers, coffee tables and seating arrangements, and a sound system. It is the perfect place for that sunset cocktail, and is conveniently located next to the 40 meter pool.
The media/reception room is a comfortable room by the main entrance where guests can work, watch television or just chill and talk.
To the right of the entrance is an art gallery area in which guests can take coffee or a cold drink while waiting for others to arrive, and can be used for events if the weather is inclement.
The central staircase is crafted on site from brass and teak is a magnificent work of art, and is suspended on brass rods which are meticulously engineered and machined to fit into custom designed brass corner units which hold the stairs together. At the foot of the central staircase are hand carved teak steps to complete the magical and unique effect. The ornate hand crafted floating staircase on the north side of the property is supported by pillars of natural crystal rock, and like the main staircase, is unique to Villa Vedas.
The villa offers multiple and spacious living areas including this ground-floor lounge with a billiard table.
The sky pool is a 6 x 6 metre glass bottom pool suspended between bedrooms 2 and 3. The laminated glass floor features a switching nano glass film that enables the owner to turn the glass bottom from clear to opaque at the flick of a switch for the ultimate in privacy.
In addition to the sky pool there are two swimming pools. The main pool is 40 metres in length, which makes it suitable for those early morning laps, and the second pool, which is offset at a right angle to the main pool, is 20 metres in length.
The property features a show kitchen and a commercial kitchen. The show kitchen is finished with glass cupboard doors, black granite benches and an extensive array of exclusive Gaggenau appliances, including two ovens, warming tray, microwave, coffee machine concealed fridge, two large wine fridges, steamer, teppanyaki, bench grill, electric touch control hotplate and gas wok burner.
The commercial kitchen is located behind the show kitchen, and features a wide variety of appliances, walk-in cool room, six burner stove, large griddle, chargrill, combi oven, long fridge and counter, stand up freezer, separate wash up and sink area, commercial dish washer and stylish but functional shelves and benches made from 316 stainless steel.
The gardens are a mix of tropical and minimalistic, with green vertical gardens on the property walls, a variety of trees and various roof top gardens.
The gardens feature a dramatic gazebo area facing the beach with BBQ facilities including gas, water, and USB connection for DJs into the extensive indoor and outdoor sound system.

Bookings which are done within 60 days prior arrival require full payment.
Cancellation of a booking includes but is not limited to:
•Cancellation of one or more days of a booking;
•An amendment of a booking so that none of the dates of the booking once amended fall within the same dates that originally constituted the booking;
•Failure of all Guests to provide the required documentation on arrival (e.g. Passports or suitable identification); and
•Attempt by the Guest, their party or visitors to hold an event at the Property in breach of the Terms and Conditions or breach of any rules applicable to the Guest’s chosen Property.
In the event that the Guest cancels a booking, the following cancellation fees will generally apply:
20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 60 days before the start of the rental period
50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 31 and 60 days before the start of the rental period
100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 30 days before the start of the rental period.
