Moon Kai is a luxury oceanfront villa estate, located on a stretch of the best beach in Cayman Kai. The main house and optional, beautifully-equipped coachhouse apartment can accommodate a total of 14 people–12 adults max–with 5 expansive oceanfront king suites and a separate queen master suite in the coachhouse. Each king suite offers a full bath and private, screened-in balcony, so every guest has the chance to stay in style. The 1,000 sq ft coachhouse offers a full kitchen, dining area, living area (TV) and screened porch. Many of our repeat guests draw straws for this private retreat!

The “curb appeal” for this luxury villa begins with a private courtyard for vehicles as well as a large entry pergola which is planted with bougainvillea blooms.
This estate is within (barefoot) walking distance of the famous Rum Point Club.
Front door is also accessible by a paved ramp (wheelchairs welcome).
Poolside screened porch with ocean views, dining for 8 and comfortable outdoor sectional sofa for soaking in the gorgeous sunsets.

36 feet of glass french doors will greet you with a view of the villa interior, as well as the infinity pool and Caribbean Sea through the oceanfront sliding glass doors.
Spacious “great room” living area opens onto the screened porch and offers plenty of comfortable seating, indoor dining, and a full modern kitchen with granite countertops, stainless appliances and bar seating.

Each bedroom has a private oceanfront screened porch or balcony with table and chairs for morning coffee, reading, lounging, or getting some quick work done on your laptop in comfort and privacy!

Moon Kai offers travel-weary guests an interior elevator to the second floor foyer and a wheelchair ramp to the right of the front steps for those in need–or anyone with heavy luggage to easily roll into the house.
On the second floor there is a TV Loft on the front of the house with comfortable seating for watching movies and two trundle/daybeds, which can sleep 2 small children (ages up to 12). This overflow space also has a large porch overlooking the courtyard, coachhouse and pergola.
Moon Kai is one of the most popular large rental villas on Grand Cayman, offering just the right balance of opulent interiors, extensive list of amenities and plenty of space to appeal to a wide range of guests. Many great memories and fantastic holidays are created at Moon Kai.

Beach Notes
The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east, so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman.

The homes on the sound in front of Cayman Kai offer the best beaches as they do not have as much marine and plant life trying to make a home in the shallows. The beaches usually are soft white sand. The homes facing west offer barefoot swimming and shallow calm water.

The sunsets are also wonderful, but the big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, many watersports, a restaurant bar and grill, a gift shop, and pick-up beach volleyball games. Also near Rum Point is the Kaibo Yacht Club restaurant, bar and marina.

Lastly, about 20 minutes east we have 2 large resorts (Morritt’s and The Reef) that offer manicured beaches as well as restaurants, a modern grocery store, liquor store, gift shops, a Subway sandwich shop, and a cafe/pastry shop. These two resorts also offer scuba, snorkel trips, jet skis, windsurfing, kiteboarding, ocean front pools and bar service.

Booking Rules

5 night minimum stay required
7 night minimum stay and full occupancy rate required over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s week.
A $750 per night surcharge added over Thanksgiving week (11/17 – 11/25)
Owner requires a refundable deposit of $5,000 for cleaning & damages to artwork and furniture
Must be 25 years or older to book and must occupy the property during the entire rental period
